Amir is a mouthpiece of truth for our time. God has anointed this man to speak and confirm what the Holy Spirit has been revealing to many of our hearts. The book is well written, easy to understand and full of biblical back up. I appreciate that Amir speaks truth, but doesn’t over step into speculation as so many do on addressing last hour issues. It makes him credible with me. Amir is just a man..but God is using him in s supernatural way.

The author got off to a good start but Chapter 7 forces me to ask some questions. Look at 1 Thess. 4:15-16 and notice the order:"For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord by no means precede those who are asleep... [1] And the dead in Christ will rise first. [2] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."The correct order cannot ever be changed by Satan, (or anyone else), no matter how much he squeals, shouts, or tries to deceive us. Again:A. THE DEAD RISE FIRST. (This is aka "the resurrection of the dead".)B. AND THEN THOSE WHO ARE ALIVE FOLLOW THE DEAD AFTERWARDS. (This is aka by some as "the rapture".Further, these both parts obviously occur on the same day at the last trump. Jesus Christ, Himself, tells us what day the resurrection takes place, four times, in John 6:39, 6:40, 6:44, and 6:54. Jesus identifies it each and every time as "the last day". So my question to the author and the reader given the order of events is how can the "rapture" precede the resurrection of the dead or happen before the "last day"?I will now finish the book and update my review later.Ok finished up to Chapter 11 and have another question. Amir writes,"We, as believers, will not see him [the Antichrist] because we will already be gone." He believes the Antichrist will not be revealed until the Holy Spirit is removed when the saints are "raptured" away. Yet, the Scriptures state, "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day [our gathering together with Him] will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed [the Antichrist]. 2 Thess. 2:3. Did you catch that? At least two important events must happen before we are gathered together with Christ, aka the rapture. 1. the great apostasy. 2. the revealing of Antichrist. Somebody better stick to bus driving before trying to teach the saints of God. Paul warns us for a reason because we will be here on earth until after the apostasy and the Antichrist is revealed. Amir's biggest mistake is his confusion and confounding of the "Great Tribulation" and the "Wrath of God". They are not the same! We don't fear Tribulation of any kind and expect it, but we fear the wrath of God. Jesus said it best, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell". Mt. 10:28.The wrath of God is eternal damnation in hell, while even the most evil Tribulation can only kill the body. So Amir, I suspect you will still be living in your house when the Antichrist arrives on the scene. The question is why all the warnings if we won't be here on earth in the first place? Will it be all the unbelievers that fall away during the Great Apostasy?ok I finished the book and continue to give it 1 star. Amir is no doubt a believer in the grace of God and Jesus Christ as his Lord of lords, King of kings, Prophet and Savior. I claim the same Lord Jesus Christ as my God, too. I disagree the Holy Spirit is going to be removed and is the restrainer holding back the Antichrist. Go ahead a read the book but Scripture, Amir would agree, must be your final authority. I agree that the destruction of Damascus is the first step or fuse for the end purposes of God. In my opinion WW III soon follows, then a 7 year peace agreement, then Antichrist is revealed 3 1/2 years later, then Christ returns on the last day to raise the dead, gather the living saints, defeat Satan, and judge the world. Jesus said it best, "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." John 5:28-29. This will be the last hour at the last day. Come Lord Jesus, amen.

Having studied bible prophecy for over 40 years I have read many related books by numerous authors on this subject matter and feel Amir is spot on in his straightforward interpretation and application of what we need to know and how we need to live in these challenging days. I greatly appreciate his personal insights as an Israeli Christian with first hand knowledge of the Middle East in real time. A timely work by a man who loves the Lord and lives like it!

I've been following Amir Tsarfati and Behold Israel for several months. I believe in Bible prophecy, and Amir has explained so well what he believes we can expect to happen concerning the end times, and in particular the Rapture of the faithful to Christ. We are definitely living in the last hour. It has opened my eyes so much more than before! I bought one book from Amazon and one from the Behold Israel website.

Had I known the author was a dispensationalist, I would not have wasted my money. Could not get past the first "Law vs Grace" remark. Book deleted...money wasted.

"The Last Hour" is an easy, though thought-provoking read, (which is good, since it is VERY difficult to put down and you need to sleep sometime). Amir has masterfully distilled great amounts of prophecy information into a book that clearly shows Christians have nothing to fear of living in the last days. God's Word indeed gives us "blessed hope," but with a commission to tell those around us of what is coming so they too can see the hope beyond the fear. And for those who have met Amir, his voice is all over this book. One can hear him speak. And his sense of humor is very alive and well.

The is a great book, I love the way he writes and makes it so you can easily picture it in your mind. Thank you Amir for opening my eyes to whats coming to this world and how I need to get to work on spreading the good news.

Was advertised as an End Times book; however, the first six chapters and 116 pages were not about the End Times. It took until page 137 for the author to announce that he was a pretribulationist. It would have been good to know before then. The author did not offer any new insights into this theory of the End Times (maybe he did after page 137 but that was where I stopped reading) so if you have already read some of the hundreds of other books that teach this theory you can skip this one and save some time.

I'm a fan of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series so I read Red Dwarf hoping it would be similar; both are science fiction comedies written by British authors some decades ago, but the similarities end there.Red Dwarf manages to be as interesting and inventive as Adam's book, but it is in many ways darker and more somber, which for me made it fresh and unexpected.I highly recommend it for fans of the genre.

This is the second copy I have of this book. My original copy got lost in a sea of boxes, and rather than going through tons of boxes to find it, I decided to buy another copy. I'm so glad that I did! The new copy came with signatures of many of the stars from the TV Show! It also came with signatures of the writers of the book. I remember reading my original copy years ago, and found the book very hilarious, with its dry British humor, something I can relate to very well. This book is definitely a must-read!

Grant Naylor, co-creator of Red Dwarf, manages to take a funny show and turn it into a hilarious book. The writing style and sense of humor are true to the TV series while adding more details and a delightfully snarky narrative akin to "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." If you purchased the audiobook, you're in for a treat. Chris Barrie, who plays Arnold J. Rimmer on the show, narrates and DOES ALL THE VOICES. His performance adds humor to an already hilarious story. I can't recommend it enough for fans of Red Dwarf.

I am an avid Red Dwarf fan thanks to my British hubby who introduced me to it 2 years ago. I purchased this book recently because we wanted a hardback version of Red Dwarf:Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers.This is just a word regarding ONLY the Hardback version listed here on Amazon with the ISBN above. It is a 2 in 1 volume with Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers AND Better Than Life.The description listed here is not clear on that. While it's probably not a big deal to most, it's not clearly advertised and I thought people should know before they purchase it JUST IN CASE! = )Both are great books that are an easy and fun read when you're in the mood for some good comedy. The US versions leave out any random British references that can and do confuse some US readers who are unfamiliar with terms etc. I found this amusing in and of itself. The Americanization of it didn't go over well with the TV show and I'm not entirely jazzed about it in the books, but it makes for something new to look for in them and usually gives you a laugh either way!Great books and shows. I hope they finally get the movie done before I die too... = )

This gives a lot of background for several episodes of "Red Dwarf," going further into the series than just the first two seasons (eg, there's "White Hole" in the chapter "She Rides!" when Lister's playing pool with planets). We find out why Lister joins the Space Corps, and why he has his picture of Frankenstein and him processed in the ship's photo lab. Lots of other Dwarfer gems. Highly recommended.

One of the greatest short comedies you can pick up. It plays with the sci-fi genre's sacred cows, taking no prisoners with the soaring visions proffered by the typical sci-fi authors and parodying everyday life in the modern world vicariously at the same time. The combination of sardonic wit and melodramatic humor by the 'gestalt entity' Grant Naylor make for an epic little book. Recommend the other three that followed, too, but none quite top the original. 5 bright blue dwarf stars!

I had this recipe book when I was in my 20s and I LOVED it! I have lost it through several moves and it made me sad to realize it was gone! BUY it! You'll be glad you did!!

This book was very helpful in the bread making techniques which did help me a lot but we really didn’t like most of the breads made from the included recipes. Bread making is part science and part how you handle your dough and just buying a book doesn’t solve all the issues but it can improve your technique as it did mine. Equipment is also a big part of it and years of trying electric bread makers and several vintage Sunbeam Mixmasters to knead the dough just didn’t do it for me. A Kitchenaid stand mixer finally solved the kneading issue and if you’re still using an electric bread maker you’re likely not going to find this book helpful. I’m getting consistently good breads now and the chemistry of the ingredients is no longer such a mystery and even at 4500-feet elevation everything from breads to rolls are much better. It lost a star for the unappealing recipes.

The bible of bread baking, and a classic for decades. My mom's first bread book 40 years ago, my first bread book 10 years, and now I often give it as a housewarming gift. The recipes are easy to follow and provide a comprehensive understanding of the process. The recipes span the genres of bread from sandwich loaves, to breakfast items, to desserts and even sourdough. Brown is a holistic baker, which I mean he uses a lot of whole wheat flour, encourages use of fresh ingredients readily available, and is flexible within his recipes. By far my favorite part of the book is Brown's attitude towards baking, and cooking in general--one that emphasizes the process as much as the product, and is forward about a good baker's best ingredient is a love of baking. Perhaps a little too "touchy feely" for some, this book single handedly taught me to bake excellent bread!The basic recipe, honey oat sandwich loaf, french bread, and multi grain are all good. English muffins are surprisingly easy and so much better than store bought. The sourdough pancakes are amazing. And the muffin recipe is so simple and delicious. Sometimes I double the sweetener (still doesn't make things anywhere near as sweet as store bought). Would give 5 stars, but don't love the new format of the book--the old one use to be more compact and easier to understand for counter top use.

'nuff said. The process is a little longer than common bread recipes and disdains the electric mixer variety, but is relatively easy in the kneading department and gives enough explanation of what ingredients do that you can vary them to suit your taste or needs. My original book is now barely readable, having absorbed its share of oil, butter, flour, and whatever else was handy or being used. I have pictures of my daughter as a child "helping" me mix the dough in her jammies, something she did so much she knew the recipe by heart before kindergarten...and just last month my wife was taking pictures of my granddaughter starting on the same path. Different jammies though. These are "teachable moments" for me, inculcate the notion that you do all the preparation work with care so the final product is what you want rather than being sloppy in preparation, hoping to fix the final product later. More than just a bread book for me.

I got this book after I happened on the documentary "How to Cook Your Life", and I was smitten with Edward Espe Brown. For a Zen Priest, he is endearingly human.......funny, impatient, compassionate and irritable. The effort, the offering is the thing, and that really comes through in this book as well, which was written much earlier than the documentary was filmed. Line drawings are well done and helpful to guide one through the various techniques. The recipes are quite sound with lots of variations. I think it is especially helpful for beginning bakers to learn the basic "springboard" recipes as it encourages creativity and an understanding that so many different variations can come from one basic recipe. Brown reminds us to think about the food we are making and eating.Above all, I found this book a good reminder of why I started baking bread in the first place - the slowing down, the feel of the dough under your hands, the smell and satisfaction of a simple loaf of bread that you made yourself.

Definitely gave me a few ideas, which made it a worthwhile read. Respectfully, I would caution beginner operators about the use of carbon fiber blades. They can do an incredible amount of damage and should only be used by advanced operators. Also, the word drone is commonly misused, by the media, by the President, by the CEO of 3DR, etc. You say yourself, in the book, that a drone does not have a human at the controls. That is an accurate definition. A Roomba is a good example of a drone. Interesting read though, and I applaud Eric Hall for offering his insight and experience in a concise, well written, book.

Told in first person, the author shares his experience starting a business in aerial drone photography. He discusses various make and model drones and their price points, strengths, and weaknesses. He discusses available components and their functions. He goes over cameras, and the available components relative to aerial photography. He gets into regulations and discusses where the industry is headed, and he walks the reader through methods of monetization. The Bonus section provides relevant links to get the reader started. The book is clear, concise and to the point. It is ideal for anyone with an interest in purchasing a drone with the intention to photograph with it. There aren't many books covering this emerging technology.

Thought it was a concise, well thought out, well structured book that wasn't overly simple while at the same time not overly complicated. It was easy to understand, the author does a great job of breaking down the basics, many benefits, and overall possibilities available in this day and age with drone photography.

I bought this book relatively recently and it positively exceeded my expectations. The book introduces drone photography as a new, emergent variant of photo shooting and the author's enthusiasm is absolutely catching. If you are browsing for a motivational and instructive guide to what can be achieved with quadcopters and drones, look no further.

My son loved it and this has helped him get ideas for his photoshoots.

Was disappointed that it was so short and seem to not cover a lot on marketing a drone business..Not much value..

I appreciated the section titled "Tips for Taking Amazing Aerial Photographs". It did give me a few things to think about.

Just a short book highlighting the many uses drones in photography and videography . A quick read with many useful hints for those thinking about getting a drone.

I've been writing for 30 years. In my early days, I devoured books on writing and studied Writer's Digest magazine like the sacred text of literary skill. But after a while, it all started to sound the same. There were only so many things you could say about how to write a story. I stopped buying books on writing and let my WD subscription lapse.Instead of reading about writing, I wrote. And wrote. I finished my first novel. I wrote some more. At conferences and workshops I heard writers and editors talking about this one holy grail that everybody sought: a VOICE that "sang", a voice that stood out in the slush pile, a "fresh" voice, a "unique" voice. So I took workshops on "finding your voice". It was all very kumbaya and mystical. IT DIDN'T HELP.It's painful to be told there's something lacking that would make your writing stand out and be noticed if it were there. And it's maddening that nobody seemed to be able to tell me what it was or how to develop it.I've taken classes with James Scott Bell at writing conferences. I've purchased his books. He's an excellent teacher and has a way of explaining things that is logical and clear. But I admit... when I first heard that he was writing on the topic of "voice" I thought, "What could he possibly have to say that would help? Nobody can define that thing. Nobody seems to know what it is."As cliche as it is, I tip my hat to Bell. I give him a deep Chinese bow, full of respect and honor. (Okay, that's my writer melodrama coming out, sorry!) Not only does Bell break the concept of "voice" into its component parts, he offers exercises that will help us develop it in our writing and includes scores of examples so we can SEE voice in action and analyze it. Not only that, but I've read his recent thriller release, Romeo's Rules (A Mike Romeo Thriller), and Bell himself has applied these principles to good effect. In writing Mike Romeo, Bell has captured that hard-boiled, wry-humor voice that I most enjoy for heroes in that genre. So the man practices what he preaches.All around, if you want to develop (or strengthen) that elusive quality of "voice" in your writing, this book is a must-read.

I've enjoyed Mr. Bell's fiction and found his books on writing to be very valuable. I just purchased Voice a few days ago and finished it tonight. Another diamond work for Mr. Bell. While there is no shortage of books on writing, I like the fact that I came away with fresh ideas that I hadn't seen before. I even got so excited about one section that I sat down and pounded out 300 words in a blink because the teaching fired my imagination.I'm now going to go back through to the sections I highlighted and apply it to a couple of my works in progress.A great book at a very reasonable price and loaded with sound advice with concrete suggestions on how to apply it.Well worth the investment.

As always, James Scott Bell clearly analyzes a particular story aspect, in this case "voice," then offers step by step suggestions on how to improve your skills in that aspect. Voice is a particularly mushy subject that most publishing pros don't seem to verbalize well. Bell uses the classic "I know it when I see it" example, but then explains exactly what you're seeing. His exercises are simple, but enlightening. He offers lots of great examples that illustrate voice in different genres. What I like best about his craft books is he gets to the meat without sermons and pontifications. He doesn't waste your time. You finish the book with a much better understanding, tangible tools to use, and elevated knowledge in an advanced storytelling concept.

I am a big fan of most of Bell's books. This one seems to be confused about what it wants to teach. The first few pages say 'voice' is an author's voice coming through a character in a novel. This makes sense. Great. Then there is some work on writing with emotion, then most of the rest of the book is about how to write description. They don't relate. Had he said voice is an author's style.....then this would have made some sense.So, the first chapter is about character, and then a chapter about how to get in the right mood and mindset to write with emotion (write down 10 things in the world you feel strongly about, then write a page about it), and the remaining book is about description. There are examples in the final 10% of the book, and they are by genre, but there isn't any analysis of what makes them good or something worth studying. There are a few sentences that say something like "science fiction has technical details to merge seamlessly into description" or something, and that's pretty much it. I would suggest his other books instead of this one.

VOICE, The Secret Power... - Another great book by JSB. And this one sheds light on the most difficult area of writing - voice. Most panel discussions can't define it, can't tell you how to find yours, and leave you confused. Many teachers have discussed finding the voice of your characters - good advice. Others leave us believing we have to develop an "unforgettable" voice as the author. JSB (for the first time I've seen it described) shows us the "formula" for the interaction between author-character-craft. He discusses the concept, and then gives us examples. If you're looking for "voice," read this one!
