Lloyd Z. Remick, Esquire concentrates his practice in the areas of entertainment, sports,hospitality and communications law. He is also President of Zane Management, Inc., a Philadelphia based sports, entertainment and communications consulting and management firm. Mr. Remick received his B.S. from Wharton School in 1959, his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1962, and a L.L.M. in tax law from Villanova School of Law in 1984.Mr. Remick represents several award winning recording artists, writers, and producers, as well as a number of television, radio, and entertainment personalities. In addition, he represented and managed the late Grammy Award winning Grover Washington, Jr. for over 20 years and 4-time Grammy singer, producer and recording artist Bunny Sigler for over 40 years. Mr. Remick has been a registered contract adviser with the National Football League Players’ Association and the NCAA. He has also represented athletes in variety of other sports, including basketball, baseball, ice-skating, crew, boxing, soccer, and track and field. This fascinating crime fiction novel is a MUST read if you love organized crime and are intrigued by the dark reality of the entertainment industry. Dex, being a highly successful entertainment lawyer/professor and family man in Philadelphia, is the perfect protagonist who you can't help but root for and envy his exciting life. Two Times Platinum takes you into the sports and music world where you are privy to what goes on behind the scenes and watch a star rise to fame by means of bribery, sex, and even murder. This novel has twists and turns that prevents you from putting it down until you know the true fate of Val, Trolly, Carpozzi, and Dex. Remick does a brilliant job of illustrating what it's like to be an entertainment lawyer in this very competitive/crazy industry. I can't wait to see what he puts out next and hopefully see this on the big screen some day. I HIGHLY recommend!
Renowned entertainment attorney Remick uses his years of experience in the field of sports and entertainment law to create an exciting drama. You grow to love and sometimes hate the characters. When I got to the last page I thought I made a mistake on my Kindle. I said, "What? No more? I'm not ready to stop. I want to read on." I guess I'll have to wait for the sequel which I hope Remick writes soon.

A compelling & illuminating insight into the generally unseen backstage world of the entertainment industry . The action progresses quickly & the book is clearly in the "can't put it down" category.
I have been an agent, producer and writer in New York for more than fifty years and am familiar with somewhat similar events as covered in Remic'sk novel. To me, the novel was like reliving my life but in a very substantial and sometimes surprisingly poetic literary manner.In the past, I have read many "show biz" novels but Remick's tome more really digs more deeply into that sometimes unseemly and surprising world.
This is a fast paced and exciting piece of work. A fascinating look behind the world of Entertainment law. Albeit this is fiction, one can only assume that behind the scenes there's a percentage of this kind of manipulation going on? I happen to have personal experience in that arena. One only has to look at the news and see the kind of shenanigans that has a continuous negative flow from the entertainment world, particularly Hollywood.Kudos to Mr. Remick, a great story well told embedded in a wealth of interesting characters. I'm sure Mr. Remick is working on the script by now as this where this piece is destined to go. Wishing him much success in the future.
Grab a Scotch and get ready to chow down on a Red Meat cant-put-it-down thriller. Terrific characters right out of a Sam Spade film noir. The lawyer/professor "hero" Dex, is tormented by the pristine law course he teaches at the University, and the seamy side of the Entertainment music industry that he practices. He knows well its temptations, but in no way does that prepare him for the dangers hurtling his way. A great tug-of-war with the Boss of the Underworld and all the richly developed and very human (in a movie portrayal sense) characters in and around its underbelly. So who wins out, the principled Professor or the street-wise "Philadelphia Lawyer"? Maybe only Bogart and the Reader know.
This book... wow. It's a fictional (I hope!) story and a textbook all rolled into one. I enjoyed the read and storyline as much as I soaked in the lessons that Lloyd so intelligently planted in the book's pages. He had me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to put it down!
