I LOVED this book! I took it for a Medical Ethics course and really loved it! It is a quick, easy read that clearly articulates many of the basic dilemmas we face in both psychology, social work, and the medical field. It is laid out to help you critically think about ethics, and how challenging medical ethics can be. I am not ashamed to admit that it opened my mind and has helped me to better discuss problems surrounding ethics, even within the lay community.

Abigail is really a witch, but is being punished for around 500 years, because of her cruelty to humans. Abigail must help & show Monica about being a witch. The "Back Room Bookstore" was built over a "portal" between the human and the magical worlds. Monica hires a human girl named Holly to work in book store. Holly likes working for Monica. Monica finds the book "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, and Abigail states to Monica the book is lies and portrayed Count Dracula wrong. Uncle Drac as the Monica and Mona call him invited the girls to a party the next night and the girls are excited. The girls go back to the Mystic side of the book store & find Holly fighting off attacking books. A memory charm puts Holly out & Monica & Mona take her home. Mona, Monica & Aunt Wilma attend Dracula's party and a very rude witch is found dead with two puncture marks on her neck. Dracula is arrested for her murder. No other suspect's are checked out until Monica and Mona start investigating. Holly who is Monica's mortal book store helper has a surprising epiphany for herself and everybody else. A great fast read and lots of fun. On to book 2.

The second book in the series flowed along with little things being explained that the first book left out. As I thought, the back door of the bookstore being the gateway or portal to the magic realm was going to be a problem, and it was! I liked the fact that Monica and Mona knew Dracula! It was great the way the author brought the book of Dracula into the story. The characters were much better written in this book and I could see where the author was beginning to get comfortable with writing them. Again Abigail made the story even better as far as I'm concerned. I'm not too enamored with the boyfriend/police officer but hopefully, his personality will be better fleshed out as the series continues. I really like how the author brought Holly into the magical world and that Aunt Wilma made an appearance. Now I'm wondering what Aunt Wilma has for a familiar. :) I was going to pre-order the next book but since it comes out in a week or so, I'll wait and order it when it's truly for sale. Again this is a pretty good series if you like cozy mysteries with witches and magic.

This is definitely a good, clean fun book about two sisters--one has lots of magical ability--the other not so much. There is a back door in the bookstore which leads from the "normal world" to the fairy tale world filled with witches, goblins and Vampires--Dracula is not as we really think he is--Need a distraction--this is a great book and it will do just that!

Fun read. The story further develops the characters as Monica's two worlds collide when her supposed mortal assistant follows her through the portal into the mystical world. Trouble quickly stirs when Dracula is accused of murder which forces an encounter with an angry dragon shifter, and Monica must determine why her memory charm continues to fail.

I enjoyed this book very much. I like Abigail and her relationship with Monica. Learning more about Holly was a lot of fun. Looking forward to finding out what her abilities will be. I like Officer Brian and Monica together. I hope future books feature more about Mona and her bookstore.

This was the second book from this series but I am not that interested the stories. I have read several books by S Harper and have enjoyed those stories very much.

I enjoyed this cozy witch passed mystery. The plot was interesting and the characters likable. I recommend it if you like cozy mystery.

I was hoping to love this book because of all the great reviews, but I was just not in love with it. I didn't find the photos of the dogs that cute or that funny so I ended up returning it. I had purchased it for a friend who loves dogs, but decided to go with another option. There are head shots of all the dogs in the back with their names, which is cute. The quality of the book is good. The photos are really large on glossy paper and the color is very vibrant. The book is hardcover and comes with a paper sleeve that goes over it (this ended up getting crinkled on the edges during shipping) but some people throw those away anyway. I showed my roommate the book and she thought it was cute, so maybe it's just me that doesn't love it!

A beautifully done book of awesome dogs in action. As with the book "Pounce" I bought this book for my mother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, as she loves to look at pictures of animals. Each photo made her laugh and smile broadly. A wonderful book for all of the family.

I liked the dog one for 2014 because the dogs looked like they were having fun while they were swimming and being photographed. This one, however, it looks like the puppies are being traumatized and terrified. I feel like I'm complicit in puppy abuse with this calendar. I did re-purchase the dog one for 2015.

Got this as a gift for a dog loving friend. Honestly, I have no idea if she liked it... but I LOVED it. I look at it every time I visit her. The dogs are freakin' adorable (and a little crazy looking). The photos are beautiful!

If you are looking for an outstanding gift for a dog lover, these books are the ticket. You'll get smiles and even tears (if the lover is more of and obsessed with dogs person, don't ask me how I know) when you give these as gifts. The quality of the pictures and printing is outstanding, there are many different breeds and it's a great coffee table conversation piece as well.

The pictures of the dogs are grotesque and not at all cute--they all look like monsters. I would never purchase this book for myself, because EW!However, this book (along with the Underwater Puppies 2015 Wall Calendar and Underwater Dogs book) was purchased as a gift and the recipient was so happy to receive it. It makes for a funny conversation piece as all the dogs are super ugly and funny-looking.

This book could very well be a companion piece to SHAKE PUPPIES by Carli Davidson. They are both very wonderful and laugh out loud funny. As I mentioned in my review for that book, I bought this as my wife and I both love dogs, not to mention puppies. I am not sure how Seth managed to get these pictures of these puppies, some of them are just 7-8 weeks old. These pictures are guaranteed to give you a smile, and a laugh. If you like dogs and puppies, bet these books. I absolutely love them both.

As I was browsing through calendars for the new year I saw this one and how could I resist?? Such cute pictures! They'll bring a smile all year long when walking by the calendar and seeing them. We had a Lab in our family who absolutely loved the water and one picture in particular reminds me of him and how excited he'd get around the water. Could barely keep him out of it and it was fun to watch him enjoying it when he got to play in it.
