Robert Spencer is director of Jihad Watch, a program of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, where he is a Shillman Fellow. I have various other books from Mr. Spencer and they are all great.He says this one is the third in a kind of trilogy: The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades, The Truth about Muhammad, and this current book.This is history we're never taught in our western leftist schools and universities. All we hear is how mean ol' European Christians enslaved the world and were the only people to ever enacted slavery or made war. Pure BS. European history is not without blemish and it has its sins, but it has nothing on Islam.Mr. Spencer shows the constant apologies for Islam and the mythical Golden Age are just that...mythical and unwarrantedWhen the first Islamic Arabs swarmed out of Arabia like locust, they conquered an area twice the size of the Roman Empire in less than 130 years. It took the Roman Empire 800 years to amass their empire, but the Umayyad Caliphate extended from Spain to India in less than 130 years. Within 25 years of Muhammad's death, Islam had conquered an area from what is now Tunisia to Pakistan and up to Georgia...25 YEARS!!!!. How many have even heard of it?.This is fascinating, outstanding and unprecedented, yet all we hear is how the German barbarians overrun and destroyed classical civilization............MORE BULLCRAP!!!. Get this book and learn the truth.Mr. Spencer goes into detail about a litany of battles most have never heard of, and what it was like to live under these various caliphates. What's even better, he uses Muslim sources.He goes into Saladin...was he the magnanimous warrior conventional history has made him out to be?.He explains why the Crusades were really waged and why we should not be continually apologizing for them like self-loathing drips.Did you know the first foreign war the young United States was engaged in after the Revolution was with Islamic Barbary pirates in Morocco, Algiers, and Libya?.Did you know the Badge of Shame worn by Jews during WWII did not originate with the Nazis?.How about al-Andalus, Muslim Spain we are told was a multi-cultural paradise?.If it was such a paradise, then why did the Spanish spend nearly 800 years trying to expel them from Spain.If you like historical truth and are fed up with the leftist pablum spoon fed us by self-loathing Western indoctrination camps known as public schools and colleges, then get this book.
This is the most terrifying book in print in any language.The most demented, sadistic mind could not fabricate the horrors revealed.Yet it is as clinical and passionless as an autopsy report in a criminal trial.The documentation trail back to historic sources for every fact, is as rigorous and exhaustive as any work of history to come out of an ivy league University Press; and I have read a few.This book was a generation overdue.It will be dismissed as hate speech.Because at no time in human history has the truth been so dangerous, or the stakes so high, or those opposed to truth so entrenched and organized and determined.They sense the End Game, and this book stands in their way.Read this book. Ignorance on this issue is no longer an option for any free people.This is not a book of hyperbole, or political bias, or a 'narrative'.It is simply a brutal revelation of historical fact that most have turned away from for its sheer horror.Until now.
Within understandable limitations this is absolutely a great book and especially a great reference book covering 1400 years of the evil that is Islam. The primary limitation being the impossibility of covering 1400 years of slaughter, rape, pillage, looting, murder, lies, intrigue, and so on and on in merely 440 pages. However, Spencer does a great job of providing concise accounts of most of the important events taking place during those 1400 years. This book is a great addition to my over four dozen great books on Islam.After carefully studying my way [I ran down many of the references provided] through this book I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to have a fully referenced concise account of the history of jihad.The time is late ... wake up America!!
